AUGURY

Performance and Choreography: Andrea Krohn
Music composition: Henrique Iwao

Based on a personal memory, Andrea Krohn’s dance solo develops in an imaginary world of woman and bird, of dancing newspaper sculptures that carry out a solitary attack and are attacked at the same time. AUGURY exposes the fear of violence to which we are constantly exposed: on the street, in train stations, in public places. The experience of living in a large metropolis like São Paulo finds expression and echo in Berlin and Hamburg, where the dance becomes concrete. By entering into dialogue with the surrounding architecture, acknowledging places of struggle or flight, the performer opens a space of confrontation with herself and with others.
